The recently signed Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider, was well on his way to a successful outcome in Pennsylvania. Ty Masterpool had been through it all in this sport, and aspired to race to the top of victory lane, after a solid showing practice, where he yet again displayed flashes of unrivaled speed. Once into the first moto, he generated a strong jump from the opening starting grid, Ty Masterpool immediately ascended into a battle for the lead alongside GasGas' Ryder DiFrancesco. He would claim the pinnacle position before the end of the first lap, though Chance Hymas (also) was making his way forward. Hymas would unfortunately pass him just before the green flag, deterring Masterpool to second. However, in an unforeseen change of events, Masterpool would obtain the lead in the wooded-area of racetrack among lap-traffic...moving into first place, just after the halfway point! Masterpool was solid at the pinnacle of the field, racing through the muddy ruts with precision while sliding the chassis around at precise angles. However, the storied run would come into question with just over two laps left to complete. It was Haiden Deegan, who was now proceeding to hound the rear wheel - but Masterpool remained rather proficient until the white flag was nearing display. Ty was then passed, just before the finish-line with over one lap to...descending to second in the running order. Ultimately finishing second, Masterpool's performance for the first moto was remarkable. For the second moto, Masterpool would hover inside the top-five before quickly moving into the third place role. The Kawasaki rider would gain a position due to Tom Vialle's crash, and immediately went to work on the Club MX Yamaha of Mark Fineis. Ty's effort, would result in a pass being made over the finish-line, with nine minute of competition now passing. He once again, took control of the field and immediately began to sprint. Though an unfortunate tip-over, near the finish-line would enable Fineis to take the lead once more...though an immediate crash by the ClubMX rider, once more granted Masterpool contention for the lead! He was second for a significant amount of time after that incident...until a mistake by Chance Hymas, with roughly four minutes remaining on the clock, was enough for Masterpool to secure the lead! The miscalculation by Hymas was made when entering into the wooded area, but as the riders appeared at the top of the hill, Ty had solidified the number one position! An enormous amount of pressure was then placed upon the Kawasaki rider, and though some mistakes were made in the final moments, the grit of the Texas native was enough to persevere...defending the first-place position from Hymas and Deegan, in a superb fight to the finish line! Taking the moto win, would then equate for the overall victory for Masterppol, as well!
