TOM VIALLE - GRIT 261 250SX

GRIT-261 | 250 SX

August 27th, 2024 3:00 pm

The French racer was on-point throughout the day in Maryland...and carried his notable accumulation of lines in practice, well into the first moto of 250MX competition. Tom Vialle, to begin moto one, would hover around the ninth-place position, while seeking to move forward as quickly as possible. And after five minutes of competition, he had ascended to as high as fifth, while seeking to overtake Chance Hymas...though the gap to the Honda rider was rather substantial. Meanwhile, they both would surpass Julien Beaumer, and with the final laps of the moto coming to fruition, Hymas and Vialle also overtook that of Levi Kitchen. The Kawasaki athlete was fading just a bit, therefore around the finish-line jump, Vialle would make the pass - obtaining third with the checkered flag not far ahead. Third place appeared to be his, until an unforeseen mistake from Chance Hymas would enable Vialle to occupy the runner-up standing...residing here, as all was finalized! For moto two, Tom would begin the contest (roughly) around the eleventh-place position as the pack was still rather packed together. After workin his way around Nicholas Romano, Tom would also manage to distance his machine from opponents like Haiden Deegan...and the extra means of motivation to beat the red-plate holder, would also propel him past other Yamaha riders including Jordon Smith and Daxton Bennick. Julien Beaumer was the next to be encountered, and the KTM rider with more professional experience (i.e. Vialle) possessed more-than-adequate speed and line choices to surpass the athlete aboard the number 929 machine...zeroing-in on Pierce Brown who was next, in the line of advancement. Shortly thereafter (on lap eight) Vialle would position his machine ahead of the GasGas chassis, and Ty Masterpool was also overtaken in the moments that followed! This led to fourth-place being conquered with Jalek Swoll now just sections in front of the KTM athlete. Swoll was riding extremely well, but Vialle's craft within the off-cambered aspects of the circuit was a definite strong suit within his multitude of competitive traits...and eventually enabled him to move past the Floridian rider on the twelfth circuit. From that point onward, Tom secured the third-place residency as he powered to the finish line...accelerating with all of his might to clinch the podium position for the moto, and second overall for this August weekend of competition!
