Tom Vialle knew that an error-free performance would have to be put forth on Saturday. Though the pressure had exponentially risen since last week's event in Nashville, the French rider believed that he could withstand the outside force(s) and rise to the occasion once more. Therefore after a solid practicing effort, Vialle shifted into gear and launched from the grate(s) heat two. The track was a bit more deteriorated at this point, in comparison to years past (due to going second in the event order, with the 450SX class being showcased first). However Vialle's prowess shined, and led him to a third-place standing. After briefly residing in the aforementioned position, Tom Vialle moved to second after a fierce battle with Coty Schock. His advancement (just before the finish line) after two minutes of action were completed, was definitive and rather bold. He took the second-place position with authority, and would then attempt to try and track-down race leader, Max Anstie. Though unfortunately, that was too tall of a challenge for him to conquer...leaving Vialle to an admirable second-place accolade, at the finish line. His start for the main event was less than desired, where he hovered just outside of the top-ten while trying to make his way into single-digit territory. However, his championship rival (i.e. Deegan) was behind him, battling just inside the top-fifteen which aided the Frenchman's securing of the red plate. He had moved into ninth after a few minutes of action, briefly bumping into Nick Romano (for eighth) while Haiden Deegan had made his way into the tenth-place territory...creating quite the narrative for a checkered flag run. He was beginning to make subtle mistakes while being pressured from the Californian, but continued to make passes while infiltrating the top-five. He eventually passed Pierce Brown while laps began to trickle away, but he couldn't stop pursuing higher speeds, otherwise, a line of competitors were set to overtake him (including Deegan). Flowing through the course while standing through the sand, the KTM rider seemed acclimated to the pressure while the heart-rate spiked. Vialle wasn't going to wither while amid stakes like these, and as the checkered flag was set to appear, Vialle seemed solidified in the fourth-place standing. However, an unforeseen crash between Hammaker and Swoll enabled Vialle to inherit two positions in the running order...putting him second with little time remaining. With Pierce Brown crashing just behind him, it was then a battle between he and Haiden Deegan as they strove for the finish line. But Vialle didn't falter, and instead, excelled while claiming the second-place accolade...and extended his points lead over the Yamaha rider behind him!
