Looking to continue his brilliant run thus far in the 2024 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, KTM's Tom Vialle was on fire to begin the day in Indianapolis. His times in qualification were some of the strongest of the day, and he proceeded to carry a confident persona into the opening main event...where he quickly registered his KTM machine into third, after skimming atop the whoop section with a tremendous sense of momentum. Though the next turn was difficult to round, he carved through the right-hander while drifting to the outside of the following straightaway, maintaining enough speed to thwart the rebuttal of Daxton Bennick. Now in the runner-up standing, all seemed to be well until a slide-out of sorts occurred in the aforementioned right-hander; though off-balanced, Vialle somehow managed to stay on two wheels while keeping Haiden Deegan at bay. However, an unfortunate mistake in the whoops would have Vialle tossed to the ground...rushing to pick his bike up with less than a minute remaining. Hammaker and Deegan would pass him, but he would rebound for a solid fourth-place overall at the checkered flag. Contending amongst the top-five to begin the following main event, Vialle studied the track as opponents like Seth Hammaker and Jalek Swoll would crash to the ground. Easily moving forward while his opponents faltered, Vialle was now in control of the third-place spot. He remained here, roughly five-seconds (or so) from the rear wheel of Cameron McAdoo. And with the checkered flag eventually being thrown, the French rider soared to a remarkable third-place run before beginning the final contest. The number sixteen immediately put his machine into an advantageous position as moto three began, with riders like Haiden Deegan being involved in a troublesome first-turn pile up. Once able to obtain clear vision, Vialle in a flow of his own...and couldn't be rattled by any circumstance that was taking place on the circuit around him. He was briefed my his mechanic, and could see that his lead was heightening to well over six-seconds with three minutes (or so remaining). Vialle continued to display proficiency amongst the ruts, looking as if he were an established veteran in the Supercross genre. And as the trilogy sequence was set to wrap-up, it was Tom Vialle who took the final moto win...boosting his overall score to second, where he, Haiden Deegan, and Cameron McAdoo will continue their fight for the title.
