TOM VIALLE | GRIT-229 | 250MX

With many riders stating that the Unadilla layout had an "MXGP feel" to it, those in the industry would assume that Tom Vialle would thrive amongst the terrain in New Berlin, New York. And as all was said and done for round nine of the eleven-race championship, they were deemed correct. He would secure a gate-choice inside the top-fifteen prior to embarking on the raceway, where forty-riders would swarm the first corner and attempt to squeeze into a tight right-handed corner; where Vialle came away unscathed to claim eleventh on the opening circuit. Powering through ruts with the inner foot-peg carving into the soil, Vialle's line(s) after the flyaway tabletop were phenomenal. He would stand atop the chassis slightly crouched, while minimizing his use of the clutch and continuously use his clutch as a means to roll forward -which enabled him to claim ninth by lap four. He and Carson Mumford would then go back and forth, before the KTM rider was definitively ahead in the minutes thereafter while proceeding to engage in a duel with Jalek Swoll. Swoll was riding well though, and would force Vialle to race amongst a multitude of outside lines while the Husqvarna rider maintained the shortest distance around the track. It would be none other than RJ Hampshire though, who proceeded to throw his number twenty-four machine into the equation as the checkered flag loomed on the horizon, with the abundance of determination shown by the Floridian being an aspect that had to be acknowledged by Vialle's mentality. And even though RJ was able to make his way around, Vialle's standing of eighth would be formidable amongst the stacked roster of competition...and as the checkered flag waved, Tom would exit the racing surface with eighth-place secured. For moto-two, Vialle would embody his intensity after the red flag and generate a solid start inside the top-ten - where eighth place was his residency, and it was a platform that was notable to work from. In the furthest left-handed corner from the starting gate, Tom would burst forward from the exit of the corner with a series of up-shifts, riding a series of prolonged ruts that were near the outer track markers while doing his best to retain eighth-place; though his teammate Max Vohland (who had passed him, and overtaken the position) was a rival that certainly had to be dealt with. The two athletes aboard the orange-hue(d) machines were riding extremely well, and would close the gap to Kawasaki's Seth Hammaker around the twenty-minute mark...where Vialle made the move forward and occupied seventh, definitively, prior to the moto's conclusion. Once here, Vialle would eventually cross the checkered flag just behind Maximus; taking seventh for the moto, for a hard-earned sixth-place overall.
