TOM VIALLE | GRIT-213 | SX 250
Establishing his name aboard the "SX" circuit extremely well, France's Tom Vialle had displayed courage, endurance, and perseverance through the rounds of racing thus far in the 2023 250cc East Coast Championship. His quest to an eventual storied career in the states, would then have to come through Detroit; where the cold atmosphere, coupled with the slick terrain, would set quite the stage for the races to follow. Vialle quickly acquired an applaud-worthy flow in practice, transitioning to the heat race outing rather well, via the second sector on the docket. Bursting from the line with a fourth place registry on lap number one, he would maintain this designation prior to getting around Luke Neese, all the while keeping Chris Blose at bay who was also surging through the pack. Vialle could see both Hunter Lawrence and Nate Thrasher ahead, doing all in his power to contest the series leaders. Tom would flourish in the slick areas of the Detroit canvas, where the soil was reminiscent of his native French countryside. His throttle control was immaculate, leading to him keeping a flow that was hard for Blose to mimic as he held down the third-place residency. This would empower him to keep going, and continue moving forward as the white flag neared on this eight-lap contest. And with composure, Vialle stayed the course abroad the KTM to claim third in the record book; hoping to conduct the same lines and pathways, in the main event. For the seventeen-lap final, Vialle was initially established in sixth, developing a pace that was on par with those in the top four. He would be trailing none other, than the veteran Chris Blose; whom he'd repeated battles with in recent memory, as they proceeded to pick up where they'd left off (in the heat race). Despite the roles reversed, Vialle still remained persistent on overtaking the number fifty-seven, switching his lines through corners while feathering the clutch on the KTM as hard as possible! As the halfway marker, and three-quarter designation soon came to fruition, Vialle would then narrow the gap on the Pro Circuit athlete. He was urgent, in his pursuit of higher standing; but the wily veteran wasn't going to simply "give up" as they closed-in on the checkered flag! Vialle's final surge would even come to the last turn on the circuit, nearly moving past the Kawasaki rider before bypassing the checkered flag. Finishing sixth, no-one in the crowd could discredit the effort(s) of the French rider.
