SETH HAMMAKER - GRIT 249 250SX

Kawasaki's Seth Hammaker couldn't wait for this round of racing to come to fruition. He certainly was a focal point of the surrounding media outlets, and yearned to excel in his native region of Pennsylvania. After an exceptional practicing sequence, the number forty-three charged to the divisional round that was shortly thereafter...and was motivated to put forth a commendable effort in front of his home-state crowd. Hammaker was then exceptionally aggressive while leading the field around for heat one. With Haiden Deegan pressuring him in every facet, the battle would condense near the halfway point...but Seth had come too far to wither under the pressure of the Yamaha athlete. He countered every move that was put forth by the Californian, and though they nearly came together amongst a multitude of sections (including the sand, and latter SX triple) Hammaker's fortitude was strong enough to cast him as the overall winner, in front of thousands of native Pennsylvanian's! An astounding reaction time was a catalyst for the Kawasaki rider in the main event, to claim the hole-shot and early race lead. Though Max Anstie, Jalek Swoll, and Pierce Brown were just behind him, Hammaker wasn't going to budge amid the pressure while performing in front of thousands, of Pennsylvania fans. Excelling through the longest rhythm sections which led to daring speed as he barreled into bowl turns, he would hold strong in the first place position and kept Anstie at bay through the halfway point...but Anstie was relentless. Countless stabs via the front wheel (by the British rider) were presented on Max's behalf...but Hammaker continued to float around the outside of the sand, using little caution as he stretched the lead back-out once more. Receiving cues from his mechanic, his line of hopping through the whoops was steady...but Anstie's infiltration of the pinnacle position came, via just over the ten-minute mark where the Honda athlete squared-him before the longest rhythm lane on the track. They nearly collided in the air, but Hammaker obliged and descended to second. However, just when it appeared as if the runner-up standing were his...he and Swoll would collide in the sand section! Both riders were scattered with less than a minute to go, frantically trying to regroup and get back on two wheels. Multiple spots would be lost, but somehow, both he and the Floridian seemed attached to one another as they remained in the latter portion of the top-ten! Ultimately finishing ahead of Swoll at the line, he was able to gather seventh as the dust settled in Philadelphia.
