It appeared as if Ryder DiFrancesco was building unprecedented momentum at the professional level in regard to recent races...and the athlete who sported the number thirty-four across his machine continued to do the same while stationed in Washougal, Washington. Once through qualifying, he would garner an incredible third-place residency to begin the opening moto of the 250cc MX division...appearing as if he were in total control of the chassis in every facet of the racetrack. He then advanced to second, after Haiden Deegan had crashed just in front of him - and though he eventually was overtaken by the Yamaha rider (once and for all), Ryder remained in a strong position within the top-five...despite deterred to fourth, a mistake by Jordon Smith (around the twenty-minute mark) would enable the GasGas athlete to be listed in third! But the battle(s) then continued! Where now, it was a process for him to keep Jo Shimoda at bay...and the Japanese rider would then overtake the Californian, just before the whoop section, as twenty-five minutes had passed. Finally, a bit of breathing room was granted for DiFrancesco, where fourth place (appeared) to be his...and that undoubted, highlighted finish was sustained through the checkered flag - taking a commendable finish, into the following round of competition for the afternoon program. His third-place start for the second moto would be applauded by the crowd, and he would hold that designation through the fifth-lap, before being heavily pressured from that of Jo Shimoda and Levi Kitchen. Though the athlete aboard the number thirty-four machine was riding exceptionally well, the aforementioned duo seemed to possess just a bit more speed, than the former amateur phenom...and surpassed him on consecutive laps, via circuits six and seven. He then would be overtaken by his teammate Pierce Brown, with around three and a half minutes left on the clock. But DiFrancesco wasn't giving up, and did his best to trail the fellow GasGas athlete to the finish line...despite also undergoing a battle between amongst himself and Joey Savatgy! The Triumph rider would actually make the pass on Ryder with three laps left, but the fight and will to succeed via the Bakersfield native couldn't be denied! He would generate a sensational burst of speed with only corners remaining...overtaking the seventeen machine once more, to earn sixth-place at the checkered flag, and an incredible standing of fourth among the overall leaderboard!
