RYDER DIFRANCESCO | GRIT-224 | 250MX

Monster Energy Pro Circuit's Ryder DiFrancesco would continue on his streak of excellent finishes as racing was underway at round for of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. The number seventy-five had been rising to higher level(s) at each passing venue of the tour thus far, and assembled quite the overall score as action ceased in Pennsylvania. Following a remarkable practice effort, Ryder would storm to a fourth place standing as the green flag was thrown for moto number one. Mud had filled every facet of the raceway, and the Pennsylvania slop would cause his wheels to spin (where top soil had been tossed), while also deterring speed if he were ever into too-deep of soil - but the California native was able to decipher his way amongst the smoothest pathways while navigating to the halfway point of the moto. He would only be passed by Hunter Lawrence around the sixth circuit, while subtly glancing over his shoulder to see the spacing between he and KTM's Max Vohland. It was ample, which allowed DiFrancesco to flow from corner to corner with momentum rather than erratic bursts of speed and rampant line choices. In the final few laps of action, it seemed as though Ryder could make a charge of sorts toward Husqvarna's Jalek Swoll...but it was to no avail; which still led him to fifth as the checkered flag waved prior to preparing for the second moto. And yet again, would the Kawasaki rider pilot his way to an excellent third-place registry as the green flag was thrown. He, Tom Vialle, and Hunter Lawrence would undergo a strenuous battle while seeking to reach the top two opponents on the leaderboard (Chance Hymas and Levi Kitchen) but the opponents from the Northwest United States were riding spectacular in their own right. Nearing the fifteen-minute mark, Ryder and Jo Shimoda would feud over a respective position on the racetrack as well, with Shimoda ultimately moving ahead as the number seventy-five would have to deal with Haiden Deegan and RJ Hampshire. The battle of the rookies was intense, but ultimately it was the number 238 who'd moved forward - and as RJ Hampshire moved past as well, it was then up to the Californian (i.e. Ryder) to sprint to the finish line faster than Jordon Smith who trailed. The talent of the number seventy-five then prevailed, leaving Ryder into eighth-place position as all was said and done; to clench seventh overall, for the afternoon in Pennsylvania.
