Husqvarna's RJ Hampshire was ready for this moment. Through years of hard work and dedication, the Floridian wanted to conquer his goal of becoming champion while stationed in Salt Lake City, Utah. His determination in practice was next level, with the rider aboard the number twenty-four machine reflecting a competitive spirit that was hard to match...and translated into his West Coast heat race, where numerous in the field were hoping to deter him (including Levi Kitchen). Rounding the opening corner, Hampshire would acquire a standing near the pinnacle of the field while throwing caution to the wind, per se. It was imperative that a strong gate choice was obtained, therefore he sprinted the whoops and corners thereafter with his Husqvarna engine generating its highest velocities! He and Kawasaki's Kitchen, were the two opponents striving for the highest of feats...and the Washington native was just ahead of him! Hampshire hounded the rear wheel of the Pro Circuit athlete, constantly revving and making sure to be seen in the peripheral view of the number forty-seven machine. Though Kitchen wasn't folding under pressure - yet Hampshire remained persistent en route to the checkered flag. Throughout every lap of competition, Hampshire wasn't going to let Levi slip away...and literally, by bike lengths, he would finish just behind the Kawasaki rider - claiming the runner-up feat before heading to the finalé. Into the main event, he, and the best members of both coasts would soar. The number twenty-four was located in a standing of near third, but Jordon Smith was quick to make a move on the Floridian. Now fourth, he would then gain on Nicholas Romano while infiltrating the opening sections of racetrack - leaping over the largest gaps with an aspiration of claiming gold. RJ wasn't afraid to use the edges of the course, if it meant furthering his speed on the - and as he managed to find his groove per se, the number 511 would be passed. It was then a matter of maintaining the championship margin over Levi, who was few positions behind...but while working his way toward the checkered flag, Jordon Smith (who was second) would collide with Haiden Deegan, and actually crashed! This resulted in a further position gained for the Husqvarna rider. He was then on the rear wheel of the number thirty-eight machine, but was smart, in regard to understanding where stood with the title on the line. Therefore he followed the Californian to the finish line, claiming a second-place finish, and overall championship for the West Coast division!
