NATE THRASHER | GRIT-210 | SX 250

Surging to a new level in recent memory, Nate Thrasher's abilities on the motorcycle were exhibited at a world-renowned level for this round of the 250cc East Coast Championship. From the moment that practice began, it was easy to sense that the Tennessean had adopted a flow on this racetrack that couldn't be forged. Through both whoops and rhythm lanes, he was on-point; which amplified his confidence prior to embarking on the first moto of the evening, where Hunter Lawrence sped to an early lead. Thrasher was just behind and keeping him honest, residing less than two-seconds from his rear wheel for the majority of the moto. Mistake-free as ruts began to emerge, Thrasher's vision was focused and undeterred from the hectic environment around him. He and Lawrence had distanced themselves substantially from Max Anstie, and as the ninety-six would eventually go-on to take the checkered flag, it was Thrasher following just behind to capture a notable second-place score. For the following round of action, Thrasher was inside the top-five as the field blistered their way through the opening lap. He was just behind Hunter Lawrence, and managed to hit the initial run (at the whoop section) with more speed than the Honda rider, which led him to the inside in the corner that followed. Subsequently, he would drift into the pathway of the red-plate holder and slightly collide with the Australian rider while making the move! Moving around Haiden Deegan not long thereafter, it was Thrasher who now stood second while Jordon Smith resided at the front of the pack. There was little Thrasher could do to overtake the number fifty-eight rider, however he couldn't help but hear Hunter Lawrence rapidly closing in from the background! Lawrence returned the favor (of the pass that was previously conducted) on behalf of Thrasher, in the same corner (after the whoops) with just under two minutes remaining on the clock! However, the Yamaha rider stayed ahead and managed to hold onto second...until an unfortunate sequence would occur over the tunnel-jump! Thrasher would be forced to cut over atop the takeoff, and drifted into the line of Lawrence who followed, sending Hunter to the ground while Nate remained upright and in the runner-up designation. Fortunately for both, they were injury-free; and the Yamaha rider remained in the second-place residency as the checkered flag was thrown. This led to a dramatic moto three narrative unfolding, though Nate would put himself into an optimal position as the first lap was completed. Building a lead while numerous riders quarreled in the background, it appeared as though Nate had the win at his fingertips, before an unfortunate mistake would have him flying off course in the whoops! Roughly one and half-minutes remained on the clock, with Thasher now into the tuff-blocks and flung from his motorcycle! Doing his best to retain as many positions as possible, he would rebound in front of Haiden Deegan (acquiring third). Now solidified in this position, he eventually hang onto third for an overall win, via consistency throughout the evening!
