MAXIMUS VOHLAND GRIT-227 250MX

MAXIMUS VOHLAND | GRIT-227 | 250MX

Continuing to showcase his skills on a multitude of racing surfaces, California's Maximus Vohland had exhibited exceptional traits on softer soils (in recent rounds) when compared to his native territory on the West Coast. And that streak would continue as the venue of Spring Creek was competed upon, where Vohland immediately accelerated onto the racetrack and obtained a fifth-place registry (for qualification) prior to moving into the main events that followed. Vohland's speed wouldn't stop there, however, even after encountering a disastrous first-turn sequence that claimed multiple riders - yet Vohland's resilience flourished as he stormed to a position of twenty-seventh, and continuously rose through the laps that followed. His KTM would seemed to move forward with a bit of flexibility per se, as he blasted through rollers and bumps alike without any wavering of momentum -flowing with the chassis as a unit of sorts. There wasn't any area of the track in which Vohland wouldn't thrive, and he really seemed to stand-out in the latter portion of rollers that had deepened as the first moto went on...leading to him moving into a territory near the top-ten (around the halfway point) where he contested the likes of Daxton Bennick and Austin Forkner. Vohland wasn't going to let either prospect thrive at his expense though, and as the trio neared the checkered flag, it was the number thirty-four who was moving forward at a seemingly faster pace then he began! Vohland's attrition through the roughest stages of the moto ultimately thrusted his KTM machine into tenth...which was exceptional given his starting position! The latter portion of racing would broadcast Vohland in eleventh as the initial minutes passed, but he had quickly moved into ninth by the second circuit after making passes on Austin Forkner and Preston Kilroy. However the fight between he and RJ Hampshire was evident, where neither were giving an inch while leaping over the newfound, step-up hip jump that was just near the finish-line; where lines were created in an arcing manner, and Vohland could be seen "flat-tracking" his chassis on the hardest sections of the racing surface. He then followed RJ as the two opponents would work their way forward, keeping Haiden Deegan and Austin Forkner at bay when nearing the final flag that was set to be waved. And as all seventeen laps were completed, it was Vohland who amassed a seventh-place moto score - which was strong enough for eighth overall, in the final standings!
