Britain's Max Anstie was eager to compete at the highest level on Saturday, and made a point, to portray his fastest speeds in practice which wowed all of those in attendance. His confidence was evident, and preceded a notable start in the divisional round, that led to a top-five standing being acquired. He would begin the trek in fourth, while battling with Yamaha's Coty Schock. He was patient, but knew that he could eventually work his way around Schock if he was persistent enough in various portions of the raceway. Through the combination of sand and clay, the number thirty-seven proved that he was an elite athlete - rarely applying the brakes as he swept from corner to corner, and as he eventually overtook the rider aboard the number sixty-nine Yamaha (on lap five) he would then attempt to deter the momentum of KTM's Tom Vialle. Though then, the checkered flag was thrown...sending Anstie to the finalé with a third place position - yet his gate choice, would still be noteworthy with all variables being considered. Anstie's start to the main event was impactful, where he immediately displayed notable momentum in the second-place residency. Seat-hopping his way out of corners while tapping the brake, his ambition of overtaking Hammaker for the lead was tangible. Lap by lap, the number thirty-seven was persistent in aiming for the rear wheel of the Kawasaki rider...creating a remarkable flow while taking unorthodox lines in order to make a pass. A multitude of valiant attempts were made, yet just after the ten minute mark, Anstie put forth an unstoppable plan that couldn't be denied. Back-to-back squaring-up maneuvers were conducted around the "SX" triple, where Anstie's run into the longest rhythm lane eventually was enough overtake the Kawasaki rider! Now into lap traffic, Anstie had to be methodical while opponents such as Swoll, Pierce Brown, and Tom Vialle continued to charge forward as well. But Anstie's veteran prowess flourished amongst the troublesome circumstances, hitting his marks with precision while he stayed calm, cool, and collected. Minute by minute, a wild narrative would unfold behind him...but the Honda rider wasn't fazed by any circumstance that was going on around him. Continuing to flow over the "SX" triples with blazing speed, he zeroed-in on the checkered flag as a means of ultimate fulfillment. And as all was said and done, the crowd would roar as the number thirty-seven claimed a flawless victory in the state of Pennsylvania!
