MALCOLM STEWART - GRIT 249 450SX

GRIT-249 | 450 SX

Believing that he still possessed the talent and speed to contend for race wins, Florida's Malcolm Stewart could be found attacking the racetrack in Philadelphia with a daring sense of determination on the Husqvarna 450. He was electric when securing over the largest obstacles, omitting the idea of caution when leaping onto plateaus with the smallest of knuckles. There was little room for error on this course, but Malcolm seemed to pay no attention to the risk involved...which set the stage for heat two, where he garnered a fourth-place standing to begin. His initiation to the divisional round was admirable, yet despite a strong start to the heat race, Malcolm would crash early in the sand and be forced to battle in the latter part of the top-ten. His bike seemed to be intact and applicable to the task at hand, therefore the only thing separating Stewart from the top of the leaderboard was the eventual amount of time that the moto possessed. Therefore, Stewart left it all on the track per se, conducting bold passes where he would split through traffic, arcing various lines that otherwise weren't seen by the rest of the opponents on the racetrack. This enabled him to pass opponents like Justin Hill, Devin Simonson, and Dean Wilson...all the while being pursued by KTM's Chase Sexton. The Illinois native was hounding his rear wheel through the final sequences, but Stewart wasn't going to budge or move over as they blitzed through the whoop section and into the concluding corner of the racetrack. Ultimately finalized in fifth, his gate choice for the main event thereafter would be considered sufficient. Initially beginning the finalé in twelfth, in the moments thereafter, Stewart could be located running inside the top-ten of the moto after five minutes of action had transpired. Scrubbing his way to the rear wheel of Dylan Ferrandis, Stewart was persistent in the charge toward the French rider, along with Hunter Lawrence and Justin Barcia who were just ahead. Little by little, would Stewart eliminate the gap - flowing through rutted corners with swift leaning angles, and exiting the bends with an abundance of throttle that lessened the distance between he and number fourteen. After roughly sixteen laps of pursuit between the aforementioned tandem, Stewart was finally able to make a definitive pass (on Ferrandis) on the twenty-first circuit! This helped him garner eighth place in the final standings, as all concluded in Philly!
