Analyzing the track as he stood within the stadium of Foxborough, Husqvarna's Malcolm Stewart felt as if this particular venue could present him with a canvas that ultimately equated to a top-ten overall finish. A multitude of varying corners, coupled with dirt that promoted abundant traction, along with a sand section that was sure to become decimated by the time the main event was finalized...all seemed to play into his repertoire of skills. Throughout practice, fantasy racing enthusiasts seemed to choose him as a consensus when analyzed on various racing websites - creating an abundance of attention on he and his Husqvarna machine as the opening laps of heat two were underway. The multitude of triples amongst various rhythm lanes on the circuit, were paramount if he wanted to sustain a qualifying position...and as always, he remained calm and calculated under pressure while racing at a slightly higher pace than Cade Clason who was just behind. Storming into the array of one-eighty degree corners that were proximal to the sand section, on a number of occasions, opponents outside of the top-fifteen appeared to be having difficult remaining planted before bombarding their way into the added (i.e. sand) soil...but the Floridian managed to toggle between the riding styles with fluidity and raced to an eventual checkered flag while being categorized in fifth. There was minimal time to spare before the main event, and he hoped to be as prepared as possible before clicking into gear. His eventual reaction time when combatting opponents to his left and right, eventually equated to a standing inside the top-fifteen, with the first few laps taking place. Multiple "three-foot" takeoff's had now been carved from top to bottom, creating a few unforeseen kickers that could cause the rear portion of his chassis to buck if he were too aggressive with the throttle...though Malcolm remained engaged and in-tune with how the track was breaking down. From around the fifth circuit, through the twelfth, he had to put forth a line of defense from opponents such as Benny Bloss and Colt Nichols but the adversaries couldn't seem to overtake him when storming into the final stages of the finalé. Justin Hill wasn't too far ahead, and as he steadily chipped away at single digit territory, advancement(s) on behalf of surpassing Justin Barcia and Shane McElrath, aided his advancement to tenth - residing here as engines ceased, for round thirteen of the 2024 championship.
