What more could be said about the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider? He appeared to be excelling at a rate that was faster than ever before, and embodied a replicated sense of intensity that was displayed in his home state of Washington. For the opening qualifying session, Kitchen was polished, leaping over monstrous gaps (including a leap that was over the first turn) that were hard for others to mimic...and carrying that persona into the opening gate drop. For lap number one of the opening main event, the number forty-seven resided first (for a brief bit) before being overtaken by Julien Beaumer. It wasn't long thereafter (before the first full lap was completed) where Kitchen launched through the whoop section with brilliant skimming maneuvering. From that point onward, Kitchen couldn't be touched. He was "gone" per se, and rode brilliantly en route to establishing a notable distance between he and the rest of the roster. Crowned with victory upon launching over the final double, he then eyed the second main event. Once there, the confidence of the Washington native was apparent. He immediately worked his way into the lead (yet again) though this time, was pressured from Yamaha's Jordon Smith. Kitchen continued to defend, riding with a stellar prowess throughout every lap. The North Carolina native was resilient in his pressure...but Kitchen wasn't going to falter. And for this occasion as well, the newly signed Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider excelled at the highest level - claiming victory with a stunning whip over the finish line. For round three...it was if Kitchen couldn't skip a beat! He was proficient in every aspect of the moto, racing to an early lead while Hampshire and Shimoda trailed. But there was nothing that could stand in his way yet again. He masterfully carved through the corners with the utmost throttle, yet somehow looking smooth as he upshifted through the Kawasaki transmission. Seat-bouncing the largest gaps with ease, once the margin was created (over Hampshire) Kitchen displayed composure. He constantly read phrases of motivation and lap-times from his pit-board, maintaining reign of the field while steadily nearing the checkered flag. With the final lap eventually coming to fruition, it was Kitchen who took the win in a spectacular manner - putting a commanding emphasis on the lead of the championship, with a one-one-one tally in St.Louis!
