The Washougal native, Levi Kitchen, aspired to display exceptional performances in front of thousands of fans at his hometown racetrack. He had spent countless hours competing at this facility throughout his youth, and brought an unimaginable sense of intensity to the initiation of moto number-one; where he stood fourth following the completion of the first full lap. Launching over the largest jumps of the infield, his subtle whipping of the chassis would allow him to stay lower than many who opposed him, and he proceeded to race amongst the outlying boundaries of the track in order to be spared of the roughest terrain. Flat-landing from countless obstacles while compressing both fork(s) and shock, Kitchen would partake in quite the duel between he and Kawasaki's Seth Hammaker, for a large portion of time. Kitchen was steadfast in his pursuit of the aforementioned outside lines, where he would flat-track the chassis while letting the rear wheel track wide, in a sweeping manner of sorts. This would allow him to remain extremely fast amongst sections of the track, such as after the finish-line; where despite being passed by Jo Shimoda, Kitchen remained persistent in his hopes of overtaking the Kawasaki tandem that now stood in front of him. Throughout the final ten minutes of action, Kitchen was cemented within an eighth-place residency; where he had developed quite the gap over Carson Mumford, while nearing the checkered flag. And after wheel-tapping his way through the whoops with the referee signaling the race's end just ahead, it was Kitchen who was finalized in eighth prior to beginning the second moto. A near hole-shot for the latter afternoon portion of competition would have him just behind his teammate, Justin Cooper, while Haiden Deegan simultaneously made his way into the equation. The track was now filled with countless square-edges and pot-holes, that were both, obvious and discrete due to the vast amount of shadows that were scattered around the circuit! Kitchen would hold second for a significant portion of time, until the seventh circuit when Haiden Deegan was able to conduct a pace (that was solidified) and pushed the Washington resident into third. Once here, Levi's output of speed was phenomenal and consistent upon the Northwest landscape...where he immersed his mentality amongst thousands of screaming fans, which motivated him to defend the third-place residency from Honda's Hunter Lawrence! And as the fourteenth, fifteenth, and eventual sixteenth-place circuits came to fruition, it was Kitchen who's line of defense was strong enough to withstand the charge of Lawrence - claiming third (for a final moto score) which propelled him to fifth, in the overall standings!
