LEVI KITCHEN GRIT-222 250MX

LEVI KITCHEN | GRIT-222 | SX 250

With an intense start to the series occurring last week in Pala, California, Washington's Levi Kitchenknew that serious competition would once again be present while stationed at Hangtown on Saturday. He would watch Jett Lawrence from afar, dominate the 450cc class - and aspire to eventually one day be able to embody a similar persona, while racing within the AMA professional circuit. Nonetheless, he was accelerating to a phenomenal pace in practice, where he would work his way across the hillside (as much of the track would be carved up and down, along with off-cambered lanes in some regard) with bold maneuvering before entering into the main event(s) that followed. As the thirty-second board would go sideways, all in the field would be chasing the rookie, Haiden Deegan...as the crowd roared atop their feet with the Yamaha rider flying around the racing circuit. He could be found battling amongst riders like Jalek Swolland Jordon Smith, where every inch of raceway would be competed amongst in order to further an athlete's current standing. You could sense his urgency and emphasis on gaining ground (to the riders ahead) as launched overtop the anthill before the mechanic's area; drifting to the outside before cutting in immediately before the finish-line jump and hoping to defend his position of eighthfrom adversaries who opposed him. The track was slick after being watered from the track crew, but he would adapt when launching over the Monster Energy uphill double prior to blasting down the opposing lane. There was little time to waste as he and KTM's Max Vohlandwould rival one another as they sprinted down the hillside, with both opponents grasping for a top-ten placement when the checkered flag was thrown. Eventually accruing tenth, he and team would focus on cooling down before the next round of competition. Beginning the next set of laps in ninth, his charging speed was second-to-none in certain sections; particularly around the rollers where riders were tripling in. The left-handed corner thereafter would be sped through to the highest extent, exiting at the height of third gear before launching down the hill with his teammate Guillem Farres trailing his rear wheel. This would be the case for a good portion of the moto, where he was unwavering with his pursuit of the fastest lines while pushing past the first quarter and eventual halfway point(s) of the moto. He remained swift and on point when hitting the twenty-five minute mark as well, where his aspirations of climbing into the seventh-place position would be solidified. This was eventually finalized as the clock neared thirty minutes, and the Yamahaof Washington's Levi Kitchen would do enough to clench seventhfor eighth overall in the final standings.
