Fighting for a top-ten position within this 250MX division, was no easy feat...however Jett Reynolds appeared to be on the right track as action began on Saturday. His fluidity in practice was next level...and as gate(s) fell for the initial moto of the afternoon, the rider out of California immediately appeared to rekindle a prowess that was world-renowned. The former amateur motocross sensation infiltrated a standing of eighth, while displaying exceptional lap-times on a rough, Washougal racetrack. He would reside here for a signficiatn number of laps, before undergoing a slight battle with Julien Beaumer...and despite losing a few more positions, to that of Max Anstie and Jalek Swoll, Reynolds remained on-track and combatted the charge of numerous veterans. He noticed that Anstie and Joey Savatgy (who also would pass him) were using a multitude of sweeping lines...appearing to miss some of the largest braking bumps on the circuit while relentlessly shifting their respective machines. He (Reynolds) began to do the same - and appeared to improve, while gaining position(s) on behalf of mistakes, from athletes like Casey Cochran. In the end, it was Levi Kitchen who wasn't far ahead of the Bakersfield native...with Talon Hawkins, Julien Beaumer, and numerous others now in the rearview of where Reynolds was located. Ultimately residing thirteenth, his ambition for the next moto was certainly noticeable. He sprinted from the starting grid to earn fifteenth at the checkered flag, for the following race...and had advanced to twelfth by lap four. He then gained positions by passing Mark Fineis and Casey Cochran, where at that point, it was time to focus on the line choice(s) of Julien Beaumer. Jalek Swoll (as well) would be thrown into the feud amongst respective positions, yet Reynolds wasn't backing down to anyone...and remained ahead of Dilan Schwartz all the while. This proceeded into the last three to four laps of competition, where Reynold's was recognized for running within the tenth-place standing - and garnering a ton of attention, from fans at the facility and around the world. He remained composed as the checkered flag neared, omitting mistakes while en route to the checkered flag. He would trail, Triumph's Jalek Swoll when crossing the finish-line for the final circuit...and kept the aforementioned Suzuki rider at bay, while claiming a tenth-place moto score! This propelled him to tenth overall as well, which was a career-defining feat, within the professional ranks for the rider out of California!
