JETT LAWRENCE - GRIT 243 450SX

GRIT-243 |450 SX

Jett Lawrence once again displayed incredible skill, and speed, throughout the duration of events on Saturday. Beginning with practice, the Australian would attempt to strive for the highest of honors amid all sessions...regardless of how muddy the track was. And after analyzing the array of lines on this Alabama circuit, he took the knowledge that was gathered and put it forth amongst the heat race. However, once there, both Yamaha competitors (i.e. Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb) were ready to combat his charge before it ever started! They both rushed to push their machines ahead of the Honda rider in the early stages, racing through the first lap with a means of keeping the Australian rider at bay. Jett obliged, remaining in the third-place residency as laps continued to amass...but it was in the final moments of this eight-circuit sprint, where Lawrence engaged in another gear per se. Flying through the roller section with two circuits to go, the effort and accompanying entry/exit speed that Jett possessed would be a catalyst for the Honda rider to move past Cooper Webb (for second). Though clipped by Webb's Yamaha in the section thereafter, Lawrence remained upright and dashed toward the checkered flag where Eli Tomac awaited him. Closing the margin significantly as the final lap concluded, Jett would move into the main event with confidence in the hours thereafter (with the second-place standing). Once there, Jett immediately displayed brilliant maneuvering aboard the 450cc chassis, swiftly cutting under the entire pack amongst the first turn to take a sly route to the lead! And once into the pinnacle position, he never looked back. Second by second, he gained and steady the margin over the entirety of the roster - attempting to launch a multitude of different line and rhythm combinations, all the while staying present and focused aboard the motorcycle. The gap between he and Webb was commendable; not necessarily out of reach for the Yamaha rider, but Lawrence remained in control as the entirety of the moto progressed...leaving only a few laps to completed as the win appeared within his grasp. Racing into corners with unbelievable rolling speed, he would transition from sitting to standing with undeniable talent as the checkered flag neared. Sweeping through the final corner on the twenty-third circuit, he then leaped over the concluding double with a plethora of excitement! Claiming another victory, in his rookie 450cc SX season!
