JETT LAWRENCE GRIT-226 450MX
July 11, 2023 · Jett Lawrence

JETT LAWRENCE | GRIT-226 | 450MX
The dominance of Jett Lawrence would continue through the national event in Southwick Massachusetts, beginning with an exceptional practicing effort on behalf of the red-plate holder. After claiming the pole position by over two-seconds, it would be Lawrence who was set to do much the same in the moto's thereafter...and his patented race leads of late, would nearly be replicated immediately as he sped from the starting grate; however it was Chase Sexton who flew around the outside of the number eighteen in the first corner, holding the lead as they launched the initial single thereafter. However, Lawrence push his way past before the sweeping left-hander that followed, moving into the first-place position with authority as many in the crowd watched with both amazement and disbelief! Lawrence's quest through the first few laps would be of one that built a prominent base over everyone in the field - including Sexton, who (at times) would rival the red-plate holder by dipping below the three-second mark, in regard to distance trailed. However Lawrence would proceed to engage in even higher speed(s) when the threat of an attack would even come close, and extended his margin over Sexton to an eventual distance that couldn't be overcome. Once again, Lawrence appeared flawless and unbothered by any circumstance that would arise on the racetrack; clearly in a realm of his own, as he flowed through the latter laps of competition. And as he led all sixteen laps of competition, another deserving moto victory would be granted to him upon exiting the raceway. His start to the second moto was spectacular, just behind Dylan Ferrandis as they sped to the opening ant-hill on the initial straightaway; and with a daring leap, he would pass the Yamaha rider and close the door when wheel-tapping his way to the left side of the uphill sweeper thereafter, obtaining clear vision and an open track with no-one standing in his way. Throughout the duration of the laps thereafter, it was simply, Lawrence's race to lose. He was proficient in every aspect, extending his lead to significant lengths at times while making his way through the roughened circuit and lap-traffic. All in the industry felt as if this could be the beginning, of the next "Superstar-like" run in the sport; one in which Lawrence would again, claim both moto finishes, en route to another overall victory!
