JASON ANDERSON | GRIT-210 | SX 450

Looking to regain his momentum after a series of setbacks in recent memory, Kawasaki's Jason Anderson would power to the pinnacle of the field throughout the series of moto(s) that were cast for round seven. Though not particularly known for a superior skillset on a tighter racecourse, the number twenty-one would sprint around the Arlington track to clench an incredible pole-position designation by the time practice would conclude! But his momentum (temporarily) was short-lived as he skated into turn number one of the first main event, and washed his front-wheel with the pack swarming around him! He would be dead-last by the time he remounted and returned to action, forced to claw his way through the strenuous 450cc roster. Yet the top fifteen, became the top twelve, which eventually turned into a single-digit registry. His willingness to push the envelope wouldn't go unnoticed, as he soared over the wall jump with expertise while never relinquishing the throttle in his right hand. And as this mantra continued to the checkered flag, his result of eighth would be exponentially increased in the moto's that followed. Quickly seeking to erase what had occurred in the first portion of action, Anderson flew past the hole-shot marker and was granted the prize-winner as he pushed his Kawasaki to the front of the pack! Though Cooper Webb quickly moved his way around, the number twenty-one was relentless in his pursuit of a furthered position; and maintained an adamant stance to overtake the KTM rider just ahead, until an opening appeared with around ten minutes and forty-seconds to go. Jason's momentum as he barreled into the right-hander before the whoops, had to be recognized by the number two; and Webb could do nothing but allow him to push through on the inside! That was all Anderson needed as he went-on to accrue quite the lead over the rest of the field, displaying a skillset that was reminiscent of what was shown in 2022. He would storm through the checkered flag, and take a much needed moto victory with an outpouring of applause from the stands. This led to a "showdown" of sorts occurring in moto-three, though his start wasn't necessarily what was desired. Quickly moving to fourth, however, he and Justin Barcia would be near one another as implications became a bit risky. Yet, the GasGas rider's unfortunate error (going over the berm after the whoops) would allow Jason to move into third and eventually second (after a fall from Eli Tomac)! All seemed to be well, until the steadfast Cooper Webb would display his usual antics of charging in the latter stages...taking advantage of a mistake by Anderson in the whoops as they neared the checkered flag. Forced to third, Jason would reside here as all concluded; which garnered an astounding fourth-place overall.
