After the chassis had been fine-tuned by his team, the determination of Triumph's Jalek Swoll was set to be unleashed as the timer began to unwind amongst qualifying laps. His line choice was superior to many in the division, with subtle shifts (to the left and right) being presented when entering into sweepers, ninety-degree, and one-eighty corners alike. Positive messages were written on the pit-board as he would "throw-down" a few heaters per se, and accompany those laps with furthered circuits of surveying...both, the ever changing conditions and competition who was around him. Swoll had to be acknowledged by his adversaries that shifted into gear for the opening moto, too....where the twisting of the thirty-second board was enough to have engines turning at their highest output. As he stormed past the green flag, he claimed a standing near fourteenth while hoping to infiltrate the top-five of the leaderboard. Athletes like Haiden Deegan at the front of the pack were hard to deny, but as Swoll flat-tracked his way through the second corner with the rear wheel slightly skating to the outside of his frame, there was no doubt, that he was doing everything in his power to lessen the distance between he and opponents such as Chance Hymas and Tom Vialle who were in front of him. Accelerating with all of his might before launching over the myriad of tabletops and makeshift triples that were designed across the circuit, he couldn't help but notice a Yamaha machine that was staying rather relevant within his peripheral view. It was none other than Tennessee's Nate Thrasher who was hoping to make a final charge of sorts before the checkered flag. But his line of defense wasn't going to be toppled as he crested the final lip on the circuit, landing from the subtle tabletop of a finish line to earn eighth, after passing Julien Beaumer in the final stages as well before exiting the raceway. For moto two, his suspension could be seen using its full range of motion as he and opponents like Julien Beaumer bombarded their way across the hill-side. Before making their way closer to the finish line area, the amount of momentum that he possessed when bursting into the most acute angles of corners would be next level - hooking through the inside lines in order to prevent Yamaha's Coty Schock from infiltrating and surpassing him, after Jo Shimoda had unfortunately overtaken him (for seventh) in the meantime. Shrouds would nearly be scraped as they transcended through the ten-minute mark...but at that point Swoll seemed to shift into both, a higher literal and figurative gear. His acceleration through both hard-packed and powder terrain was a constant trait that couldn't be nullified, and carried him through the three-quarter mark of the moto as well...where the checkered flag was awaiting on the horizon. With Beaumer now in his rearview (after making the pass on the eleventh circuit), he was ultimately finalized in eighth, for a well-respected eighth overall.
