Triumph's Jalek Swoll had become acclimated to the newly designed machine over recent weeks, and truly seemed to step into new territory as time had progressed at events such as the Nashville round just last week. He took the momentum that was gained in Music City, and elevated it once more while rounding the circuit in Philadelphia. His riding style was packed with action that couldn't be denied, and translated to the heat race thereafter where Swoll sprinted from the gate and into an immediate lead role - showcasing stellar aptitude on the Triumph machine as he sped through the Philly racetrack. Through the whoops, and rhythm sections, Swoll was hard to rival...with precise timing and entrance speed being attributes that were difficult for his competition to mimic. Through the halfway point, the rider from Florida seemed rather comfortable in the lead, despite "heavy hitters" including Tom Vialle and Max Anstie attempting to track him down as they neared closer to the checkered flag. However, Swoll wasn't going to fade, nor collapse with this opportunity at stake - constantly visualizing the checkered flag while hoping to acquire a monumental win for the Triumph brand. And as the eighth lap eventually came to a close, it was Swoll who was categorized as victorious, before heading to the podium! Thanking the team that gave him this opportunity, Swoll displayed an elite prowess while proving that the brand was top-tier amongst the sport of Supercross...though he was far from done, and began the main event shortly thereafter - where he would battle alongside Max Anstie and Pierce Brown, while retaining third in the running order amongst the early stages. He was flourishing on the Triumph motorcycle, and stayed within striking distance of both, Seth Hammaker and Max Anstie as the entirety of the moto transpired. Minute by minute, Swoll was ready to capitalize - condensing the gap to only bike lengths as the tenth and eleventh laps came to fruition. However, it was when Seth Hammaker was in a radius of being overtaken (i.e. extremely close) when Swoll's miscalculation would substantially cost him. Before the sixteenth lap was finalized, Jalek and Hammaker slammed together in the sand section as Swoll had hopped to the left, from the inside. This caused both riders to slam to the ground, where they scrambled to return to competitive action...though neither were outside of the top-ten, and proceeded to surge forward to gain as many points as possible, to acquire a respectable score of eighth, in the final standings.
