JALEK SWOLL - GRIT 239 250SX

GRIT-239 | 250 SX

Experienced in a multitude of racing series, Florida's Jalek Swoll brought a sense of confidence to qualifying laps in Detroit that couldn't be forged. He had won at the highest levels, and yearned to do much the same as he introduced the brand-new Triumph motorcycle to Supercross fans around the world! The number thirty-three embodied all of the characteristics of a championship contender, therefore there was little surprise as he sped to the highest of tiers in practice - aiming for a podium finish in heat two as a means to transfer to the main event. A fourth place start would be applauded by his mechanic as the Triumph rider stormed around the slick, flat gradient of the left-handed corner that was paralleled to the barrier. He had to be mindful of when to apply the front-brake, as too strong of an application could leave his machine falling to the ground on this rather deceiving soil...though luckily, the prowess of the number thirty-three prevailed and enabled him to close the distance to that of Henry Miller and Daxton Bennick who were in front of him. However, when approaching the "SX" triple after just a few minutes of action, he and GasGas' Pierce Brown would come together - sending Swoll off the track, and onto the concrete! Though strength of the Triumph athlete was astounding, as he proceeded to remount the motorcycle as quickly as possible and immediately begin to regain time. Moving forward from thirteenth when crossing the finish line on the next occasion, he somehow managed to generate an incredible run of ninth overall as the competition concluded...putting he and the exceptional racing brand, into the main event, for the first time ever! Amongst the mishap of turn one (in the finalé) Swoll's momentum was a bit deterred...with clusters of riders everywhere, he would manage to move forward as the leaders of the field sped away, though only able to clinch a fourteenth in the running order as the green flag waved. Again though, his attrition was next level; where he pivoted amongst the rutted bowl turns with endless determination, moving past Marshal Weltin and Henry Miller, while seeing Guillem Farres upon the approaching raceway in the latter stages as well. Both Miller and Farres were the overtaken by Swoll, which seemingly solidified he and the brand of Triumph into sixth place in the final standings. Written in the record book(s) forever, the manufacturer is certain to have success at the upcoming round(s) (and beyond) with athletes like Swoll aboard them!
