JALEK SWOLL | GRIT-227 | 250MX
Possessing undeniable speed and talent, Husqvarna's Jalek Swoll would roll onto the Spring Creek circuit for the early hours of Saturday morning seeking to gain as much knowledge of the racetrack as possible. He was comfortable on conditions like these, but knew that there were a number of competitors that could run a similar pace as the day progressed in Minnesota. After acquiring countless strong laps, he then proceeded to storm into the first turn of the opening moto; generating as much power from the Yamaha engine as possible, and actualizing his potential when leaping atop the likes of Mt. Martin. Demonstrating fearlessness as he wheel-tapped his way through both roller sections, his speed on the outside of each mogul lane was incredible...racing forward at the height of fourth gear while keeping his stance atop the foot-pegs rather athletic and neutral. This embodied efficiency, where he would notice that he pulled from a number of riders in the latter half of the top-twenty, but was running nearly identical lap-times to that of Pierce Brown and Ryder DiFrancesco. The three were paralleled in the infield section(s) of the course, but Swoll's ability to sweep through various berms was exceptional and undoubtedly acted as a catalyst for him to pull away from both of the previously noted riders, as well as Maximus Vohland. As the race neared conclusion, Swoll remained at persistent on the racetrack with a pace that was constantly on a forward trajectory...which equated to eighth being solidified in the final standings. For moto number-two, his opening registry of eighteenth wasn't quite what was desired; but the native Floridian never quit, and proceeded to thrive through the largest of braking bumps while demonstrating fearlessness aboard the Husqvarna chassis. He would proceed to launch from various take-off's, paying little attention to how the rear-end of his 250cc machine kicked...keeping his full attention on the raceway ahead while attempting to accrue as many positions as possible. Time was running out, but Swoll's competitive spirit would be accompanied by applause as he moved into the top-fifteen. And as he carved through the sandy sections of the final few laps, his ability to keep both Pierce Brown and Ryder DiFrancesco at bay would be well-respected...eventually being listed with a final moto score of fourteenth, for tenth-place overall in this tremendously stacked 250cc division.
