HAIDEN DEEGAN | GRIT-218 | SX 250
Seeking to impact the running order of the top-five within the 250cc East Coast Championship from the moment the green flag would wave for practice, the amount of focus in which Yamaha's Haiden Deegan possessed would be sensational as he soared through the Tennessee skyline. Scrubbing the finish-line with daring acrobatics while simultaneously whipping the chassis the other way over the following "SX" triple, he remained at the forefront of conversation amongst industry members as he throttled around the raceway in a blistering manner. There was little that could stop him as he funneled into the first corner of heat one, leaping into the rhythm lane thereafter with an attitude that radiated confidence prior to decimating the dragon's back with his rear wheel. Blitzing the whoops and into the finish-line section not long thereafter, he would be simultaneously attacking this track around the familiar foe (though teammate) i.e. Jordon Smith just ahead of him. Everywhere that Smith went, Deegan would continue to hound him; trusting the line choice(s) of the crafty veteran but never being too afraid to deviate and make a "push" of sorts when necessary. This would last for the entirety of the eight-lap contest, where Deegan showed brilliance aboard his Yamaha 250F, and would finish in the runner-up position just behind the number fifty-eight machine. Shortly thereafter, he would take the green flag in the main event; where he registered fifth on the opening circuit before looking to overtake Jeremy Martin as quickly as possible. The veteran was smooth on this hard-packed racetrack, maneuvering with composure and fluidity while being pressured by the rookie from California. However just before cresting the finish line on lap eight, Deegan would outpower the former outdoor champion and take over fourth! The crowd would be electric and cheering on behalf of Deegan's move, empowering him to continue flying around the racetrack to the best of his abilities before the checkered flag was thrown. His speed through the whoops and preceding dragon's back would be incredible; proving that his strength was on par and able to sustain the elements of the world's toughest motorcycle racing genre. And though unable to move into the vicinity of the podium, it was Deegan who proved to all in Tennessee that he was here to stay; putting together polished laps while weaving through lap traffic and a deteriorated racing surface. Now finalized in fourth, the number 238 would undoubtedly rise to the occasion while racing at Nissan Stadium.
