GRIT 312 — 450SX — 1st — Hunter Lawrence
May 2, 2026 · Hunter Lawrence

Every advantage was of high importance and the utmost value, for Hunter Lawrence and members of his team.
The series title was on the line, and the Australian would put forth a phenomenal effort in practice, proving that is abilities remained world-renowned level despite what was at stake. His outlook for Heat One looked superb, and upon shifting into gear for the divisional round, he would fly into a standing of approximately third, while trailing Justin Barcia and Christian Craig. Lawrence's navigation through the first turn was critical, despite a rather lackluster infiltration to the opening bend. As laps progressed, Craig would drift to second, where Lawrence immediately applied pressure on the former 250SX rival. However, Christian was stellar throughout each whoop section - which helped keep the Australian at bay. It was just after the finish line with jump, with slightly under three minutes remaining on the clock before he would be passed by Justin Cooper! This forced Lawrence into fourth, as the New York native jumped forward through the forthcoming whoops. However, it was then, that a red-flag was thrown due to an athlete's crash. However following the restart, Cooper would be placed behind Lawrence (as it was a single-file process). He then quickly passed Christian Craig, taking second! From there, he would do his best to track-down Justin Barcia. The process was difficult, but Lawrence would make the move amid the sand, just before the white flag was thrown! And from there, Hunter vaulted forward to take the win! In the main event, Hunter would contend for the lead (with Jorge Prado) while residing in second place! However, just after the "SX Triple," as the pack began to disperse, it was Hunter who made his way past the KM athlete! Lawrence was riding at a superb pace at the front of the pack, with well around seven-seconds (being established ahead of Roczen), with approximately eleven minutes remaining on the clock! Steadily, Lawrence was showcasing an ability on the motorcycle that seemed as if he'd been in this situation, countless times before. He was phenomenal, and portraying every attribute that a champion could embody, at an event of this magnitude! Regardless of track condition, lapped riders), or any sort of late race variable that could emerge, Hunter excelled. Thus, the fans in Colorado would cheer as he soared over the finish line taking the main event win, and pushing the championship fight, to Salt Lake City!
