GRIT 312 — 450SX — 10th — Dylan Ferrandis

The crowd in Colorado would begin to fill the pits and areas of the stadium, with immense anticipation. This atmosphere was one-of-a-kind, and with this region hosting two, professional racing events (i.e. Thunder Valley within the outdoor series), it was evident that the attendee's possessed immense knowledge and appreciation of the sport. Dylan Ferrandis would take note of that before going out for practice — and while on the track, he seemed to elevate his pace as more laps were accumulated, and applause would erupt! For the second heat race of the 450SX division, the former professional championship would accelerate forward from behind the starting line to claim eighth in the running order. From there, He quickly strove to surpasss opponents including Colt Nichols and Garrett Marchbanks. However, Ferrandis' knew that Jordon Smith could be overtaken as well - and on lap five, he would surpass the Triumph athlete with a remarkable display of momentum.

Through the final five circuits, the

Frenchman seemed to flourish amid a terrain, that was similar to what he had encountered when racing in his native, European territory. Thus, the fifth-place finish at the checkered flag was of no surprise to enthusiasts of the sport.. and he would then shift his focus to the finalé. He would begin the main event in twelfth, and hover around this are a for a significant amount of time. Battles ensued between he, Christian Craig, Garrett Marchbanks, and Dean Wilson. Eventually, the race-craft of the Frenchman was displayed at its highest form, when the Ducati athlete leapt into single-digit territory on lap nine. He would occupy the ninth place position, with a multitude of top-tier contenders now behind him. Ferrandis strove for more though, and made his way to seventh, after even surging ahead of Justin Barcia and Husqvarna's Malcolm Stewart! His charge into seventh was applauded by all in attendance. There would be an exceptional train of riders, including he, Justin Cooper, Cooper Webb, and Jorge Prado...though as Ferrandis surged forward (after the latter whoop section) on the twenty-first lap, he and Justin Cooper would come together on the inner land of the sand section! The momentum of his Ducati machine, would slam into the Yamaha and force them both to the ground! However, with Cooper Webb's mistake on the next circuit (with Jorge Prado), it was Ferrandis who persevered to take the tenth-place standing at the checkered flag!
