In the area(s) after the finish-line. for practice, his rolling speed seemed to rival those in the 450SX category. For the eventual opening heat race of the night show, as immense rain had fallen, Thrasher would blast his way into an early lead! His momentum was palpable, though after undergoing an early race mistake, he would relinquish the lead to Kawasaki's Nicholas Romano. Thrasher continued to tap-into a steady and smooth prowess - splashing through the puddles while doing his best to retain clear vision! With less than two laps remaining, however, Nate would surge ahead (doing his best to surpass Romano in the whoops, by blitzing...though the Tennessean then went off rhythm, crashing to the ground!
Though luckily, Nate would somehow rebound in the fourth-place standing - where he ultimately remained through the checkered flag! The main event would transpire shortly thereafter — with athletes including Thrasher, eager to surge onto the racecourse. Once sprinting from the grate, Nate would propel his way into a notable position of fifth
- while seeking to move forward with motivated mentality. After a few moments of action, Thrasher had fallen within the whoop section.. though the track crew had now dozed the latter portion of the moguls. Though still in an advantageous position, Nate would then fall-off the side of a jump, losing his balance and forced to regain his momentum! He would rebound in eighteenth, and shortly thereafter, the race would be red-flagged. Following the single-file restart, Thrasher looked to return to the front of the pack. Lap by lap, passes would be made on opponents including Marshal Weltin, Gavin Towers, and numerous others! Thrasher wasn't stopping, and seemed to advance his pace as the track became rougher! With minimal time remaining, Henry Miller and Devin Simonson were then surpassed - propelling the Tennessee native into fifth as the final flag would wave!
