race recap
GRIT 311 — 250SX — 3rd — Seth Hammaker
April 25, 2026 · Seth Hammaker

While racing within his home-state, Seth Hammaker strove to put forth a legendary performance. The Pennsylvanian would be applauded by countless fans as he exited his pit area and leapt onto the track for practice...where a multitude of unbelievable laps were presented. His level of expertise was second-to-none, and he continued to amplify his pace as knowledge was gathered of the Philadelphia racetrack. For the second heat race of the evening he would immediately battle for the runner-up position...and he would do his best track down the number 296 of Ryder Floyd. Before the first lap concluded, he would do so - soaring over one of the largest doubles with expertise, while passing by the green flag in the pinnacle position! Immediately, Hammaker began to pull on the string, which was tied to the canister of roll-off assembly! Even with a clear racetrack ahead of him, the rain which was falling, was substantially deterring his vision! Nevertheless, the "PA" roots of Hammaker were set to flourish amongst the adverse conditions!
He'd grown up on the world-renowned, Mt.Morris circuit - and through years of racing on slick, off-cambered courses.
Hammaker would sharpen his skills to excel in moments like these! Ultimately, Seth would take command of the field and (once passing into the lead) and never look back! This was going to be a phenomenal platform for a crucial gate choice, and when taking the win, his outlook for the main event was stellar! For the finale, Seth would claim the early race lead, before going over the bars in the initial rhythm lane! Luckily, he was able to return to the motorcycle. He would do his best to work his way forward, before the race was restarted due to a red flag. Now as the race began once more in a staggered start manner, Seth would do his best to move forward from a considerable distance back.
Though it seemed as if the restart would certainly play into his favor. It had lessened the distance between he and his competitors, regardless of where he stood on the grid. He had worked his way into approximately eighth, before the red-flag was thrown.
From there, he immediately went to work per se, while storming through the initial rhythm
lane...somehow passing his way into fourth, almost instantly! He would then fight past that of Coty Schock to move into the third-place territory, and despite lunging toward that of Daxton Bennick, a mistake in the final moments, would ultimately thwart his charge to try and keep the championship within reach. With the admirable third-place position, at the finish line, the East Coast title was now granted to that of Cole Davies.
