GRIT 304 — 450SX — 10th — Malcolm Stewart
February 28, 2026 · Malcolm Stewart

With a willingness to push the pace, it was evident that Malcolm Stewart's plan of attack consisted of all-out speed and relentless momentum on the Daytona circuit. He wasted no-time in practice, unleashing a plethora of strong laps, constantly surveying the landscape as he attacked the racing service at the height of third gear and beyond. Though there was little room for error, he managed to adjust across straightaways, throughout corners and amongst midair maneuvers alike!
Attendees around the raceway would applaud his efforts, and it was though he fed off of the crowd's enthusiasm as his lap times continued to escalate when practice neared its conclusion. As all was finalized, he returned to the pit area with a positive outlook for the forthcoming night show. Shortly thereafter, he would roll onto the grate while pinpointing a specified pathway into corner number one. Moments later, he leapt onto the canvas and dashed into the initial bend. It was an all-out fight for positioning, though with the willingness that was previously mentioned, he carved through the first lap while doing his best to avoid roost from top-tier adversaries. When flying past the green flag, he would collect a standing of second, while battling fiercely with Hunter Lawrence for the lead! Immediately upon landing, he would scope the racetrack with an undeniable intensity. He and Lawrence had gone back-and-forth, proving the Husqvarna athletes willingness to accelerate at the highest level. Malcolm would maintain second for a significant amount of time, before being passed by Joey Savatgy on the fourth lap. From there, he appeared as if a third-place standing could be actualized.. though Justin Cooper would work his way past, on the final circuit! Therefore Malcolm, would exit the raceway with an admirable fourth-place overall score. For the final portion of competition, racers clashed from opposing sides of the gate after firing with rapid acceleration from the line.
He was daring, and continued to present the fortitude that had been engaged, amongst practice round(s) as well. The battles were close, and there was little room for error as he used the far edges of the landscape as a means of locating smooth racetrack. Though with the presence of Garrett Marchbanks not far from him (as they battled for fifth), he knew that he could plunge into the deepest of sand section(s) with all-out aggression. The Kawasaki native would pressure Stewart, until the sixth and sevenths) circuit came to fruition...when Malcolm would lose position(s) to that of Joey Savatgy, Marchbanks, and eventually Aaron Plessinger as well. Though with the home-state crowd cheering, Malcolm continued to advance with one-hundred percent effort. This led, to an unforgettable battle in the final two laps of the contest...where the Husqvarna athlete would do his best to keep Shane McElrath and Justin Hill at bay. Though unfortunately surpassed by each of the opponents, it was Malcolm who maintained a notable flow through the seventeenth circuit..and as the checkered flag waved, Stewart captured a final score of tenth, in the overall record book
