GRIT 303 — 450SX — 10th — Dylan Ferrandis

A professional at this level would have to have numerous components of the highest standard if he wanted to succeed in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series. Dylan Ferrandis did just that, and throughout practice on Saturday, it was clear that he was in total synchronization with the bike beneath him. Through various jumps, corners, and straightaways that the track offered, he was valiant with his efforts. Knowing that he was alongside the best athletes from the round around the world would only motivate him and his confidence couldn't be diminished. When speeding past the mechanic's area barrier, his fellow team members) would constantly encourage him. Upon exiting the raceway, he knew he could asend through the heat race with an exceptional prowess and score a significant sum of points in the main event thereafter. Upon clicking into gear for the initial divisional round, he launched from the line and immediately strove to battle, quarrel, and rival anyone in his way. Cut-downs ensued as racers slashed through the steepest bowl turns, though he remained vigilant with a high-caliber pack of athletes all around him. While residing in a position of fourth, he believed that he could sustain the current pace, and even progress as the race transpired. His estimations were correct, as he moved past Christian Craig on lap two! In the circuits that followed, Ferrandis' was smooth while leaping through the rutted transitions of the Arlington course. He was balanced and engaged in the bronze medal slot for a significant portion of time...until a hard-charging Husqvarna competitor (i.e. Malcolm Stewart) would pass him with three circuits to go. Nevertheless, Dylan accelerated through the checkered flag to claim fourth! For the main event, he would do his best to mimic the pace of the pack of riders which led the field around. His willingness to battle was applaud-worthy, and led to a standing of tenth being secured in the initial sequences of the contest. He would move past Vince Friese as well as Jason Anderson, and even Joey Savatgy, as multiple athletes had undergone mistakes.

Though not long thereafter, would he descend to fourteenth! Yet rather than be discouraged, the French athlete vowed to charge forward. He knew that with a relentless surge ahead, he could obtain a top-ten overall score! Opponents including Justin Hill, Shane McElrath, and others were then overtaken by the professional standout. He appeared to be categorized in eleventh with minimal time remaining, though it was an unfortunate bit of bad luck on behalf of Malcolm Stewart which sent the Husqvarna rider descending outside of single-digit territory...thus Dylan Ferrandis would move forward one spot, and in the end, the athlete who sported the number fourteen across his motorcycle would claim tenth!
