February 21, 2026 · Devin Simonson

Competing at this level required the utmost focus. It was something that Devin Simonson embodied for numerous years of racing, and he couldn't wait to unveil the highest aptitude possible as he launched onto the track for Saturday's qualifying rounds. A few laps were taken to survey this landscape, before he embarked on an incredible run of blistering circuits. From corner to corner, he was relentless and managed to use every bit of the transmission while powering to the finish line. With the whoops on this racetrack being rather steep, he knew he would have to attack the section with precision and correct body positioning. One lap after another, he would bombard the area with remarkable entrance speed and line selection...blitzing atop the moguls as if he'd done it countless times before. His trajectory for the night show was stellar. Shortly thereafter, he and his mechanic methodically selected an optimal gate choice. From there, he would wait for the pins to unlatch in the moment his bike could launch onto the straightaway immediately thereafter. He engaged in incredible rhythm combinations. He was an established member of the highest tier in the division, and while occupying a position of ninth the crowd would applaud as he continued to advance. Lap by lap, he would link lines together with remarkable synchronization. This allowed him to advance and make passes over opponents including Marshal Weltin, Luke Neese, and Jeremy Hand. He had moved into sixth, before undergoing a serious battle with Drew Adams around the halfway mark. With the checkered flag nearing, he knew he could continue to put forth a remarkable sprinting pace. Ultimately, he would do so, and as the final lap concluded, he occupied a position of seventh...finishing just behind the aforementioned Kawasaki athlete. In the points paying, main event that followed, he rushed onto the track with little regard for fear.
Lines were already woven into the canvas, though he managed to toggle between the optimal paths) as some would deteriorate and new grooves would form. His excellent starting position (of third) was applauded by the crowd! He would do his best to maintain that form as well, though he would be surpassed by Daxton Bennick and Seth Hammaker, not long thereafter.
Once trailing the established stars of the class, he continued to fight with a
commendable effort. Battles with Cole Davies, Drew Adams, and Coty Schock would be showcased
- and despite
sliding to the ninth-place position, he would ultimately reclaim a territory once held by Cullin Park..to earn eighth-place honors at the checkered flag!
