GRIT 303 — 250SX — 5th — Cole Davies
February 21, 2026 · Cole Davies

When seeking to contend for the highest achievement of them all in Dallas, Cole Davies would remain extremely focused as qualifying transpired. He would simulate the main event's intensity, with countless, unbelievable laps in the afternoon hours. Every section was completed with technicality, and his impact was felt throughout the division before entering into the night show. Upon shifting into gear for the opening heat race, he then accelerated onto the canvas without hesitation. He would secure a standing of first, after briefly battling with Caden Dudney. Once into the first-place standing, nothing could stand in the way of the talented Yamaha competitor. It was as if, he'd resumed his astounding run, which began last season. He was polished amongst the technical timing areas, and maintained a phenomenal entrance pace into the highly difficult whoop section. As laps progressed, he'd generated quite the gap over opponents including Nate Thrasher, Jalek Swoll, and the aforementioned Dudney. Thus, when the final flag was thrown, it was Cole Davies who claimed victory! For the main event, he bolted from the starting line... though he was involved in an unfortunate first-turn crash, which contained numerous riders! He remounted in the back of the pack. and would accrue a first-lap position of seventeenth. In the circuits that followed, Davies understood the importance of maximizing his moves. It was a race against both, the opposing roster, and the clock. He would air-out the gigantic rhythm combinations with precise timing, and began to make passes in bundles. By lap six, he had worked his way into ninth! He then tracked-down opponents including Coty Schock, Cullin Park, Devin Simonson, and Drew Adams! His stamina was certainly on-point, and he would prove that he could endure the toughest circumstances imaginable in the Supercross genre. By lap fourteen, he had mad his way into fifth. The gap between he and Seth Hammaker was quite the distance, but the competitive mindset of the Yamaha athlete wasn't going to settle. He refused to adopt the idea of complacency, and knew that he could obtain a top-five overall finish if he remained on two wheels in the final stages. Therefore, as top-soil was thrown away from the canvas, Davies proceeded to display a world-renowned aptitude on the motorcycle. Seemingly forgetting about the crash that had just occurred, Cole charged forward when it mattered most...and ultimately exited the raceway with a fifth-place achievement.
