GRIT 302 — 450SX — 9th — Dylan Ferrandis
February 14, 2026 · Dylan Ferrandis

With numerous opponents on the roster obtaining championships at the highest level, Dylan Ferrandis knew that the competition was going to be stiff while racing in Seattle on Saturday. He tirelessly prepared and knew that the entirety of his effort had been put forth to assemble a top-ten finish while stationed in the Pacific Northwest. From the moment practice began, he created an excellent ensemble of lines and pathways. Each wheel-set would constantly dig into the terrain beneath, creating a myriad of lines, which resembled balance beams that spanned throughout the entirety of each corner. Many jump faces were unrecognizable, though with his remarkable aptitude, he soared through the air, which created applause from the crowd. His outlook for heat race two was superb. And knowing that a strong start was pivotal, he did his best to launch from the grate to obtain a standing of sixth. There was little room for error with stakes of this magnitude, though he managed to demonstrate remarkable composure while remaining nimble on the motorcycle. As laps began to progress, he and opponents, including Ty Masterpool and Chase Sexton seemed to be paralleled to one another. Though his trait of fortitude couldn't be overlooked. He would battle the Kawasaki athlete rather fiercely after moving into fifth, though they distanced their machine(s) from Masterpool.
However in the final segments of the contest, it was the Illinois native who surged ahead of the Frenchman..leaving Dylan in an admirable standing of sixth, as the checkered flag waved. In the main event, he would fly onto the canvas while seeing the race leaders not far ahead. Knowing that he would have to closely mimic their pace in order to acquire a top-ten overall score, he immediately unleashed an abundance of velocity while charging to a position of eleventh.
From there, his focus was on the laps, of the horizon. He began to methodically claw through the field, advancing to tenth after passing Ty Masterpool. From there, he moved into ninth for a short period of time. Battles then ensued between he, Malcolm Stewart, Joey Savatgy, and Jason Anderson for a significant chunk of the contest! Each athlete was giving it their all, but it was Ferrandis who appeared to be moving forward after vaulting into tenth on the twenty-first circuit. And at that stage, Ken Roczen would unfortunately began to descend throughout the running order — thus, with the Suzuki athlete sliding out of single-digit territory, Dylan propelled his way into ninth, residing here at the checkered flag!
