GRIT 302 — 450SX — 6th — Malcolm Stewart

The overall landscape in this premier division was exciting. Racers from around the globe were taking part in this prestigious format and among them was none other than Malcolm Stewart. He'd sharpened his skills through decades of racing, and it was now time to put his attributes on the motorcycle to the test in Seattle, Washington. With the elements of Mother Nature sprinkling onto the surface in the days prior, the conditions in the Pacific Northwest were moist. That element was unique and difficult to conquer, especially on a Supercross landscape. However, with his superb skills, he was able to solve the riddle of a course time and time again. His efforts were continuous, and his lap times were consistent, which led to an optimal gate choice for heat number one. As racers bolted from the line, it was an all-out dash to the inner pathways of turn number one. He did his best to fight for a spectacular position in the running order and the rivalries within the pack continued to escalate as the green flag waved. He would surge over the finish-line jump with the utmost tenacity and with valiant engine revs upon landing, he had accelerated to a standing of fourth, after fiercely battling with Justin Cooper - following a series of excellent initial sequences, and a remarkable sprint from the starting line. He strove to stay smooth in the toughest rhythm lanes, and while minimizing his mistakes, he was paralleled to that of Cooper, as they tracked-dowr Justin Hill. Malcolm would make his past the Oregon native and into third by lap five. Despite being passed by Eli Tomac in the moments thereafter (as Stewart then resided fourth) he continued to power ahead — and presented momentum that wasn't far, from the pace of the aforementioned KTM athlete! He seemed to be solidified in this standing, before a bit of bad luck transpired. An unfortunate crash then occurred. Stewart would power through the sand section, and leap with a daring jump into the next combination of obstacles - however, he would then case a triple sequence, which sent him slamming into the upcoming takeoff. Somehow, the strength of Stewart was showcased once more...and he returned to the motorcycle, making his way to the finish line in the process! Thus, he would capture seventh place at the checkered flag! In the main event, he did his best to weave through the first lap with explosiveness on the motorcycle. He was ninth, and remained here for a significant amount of time before being passed by Dylan Ferrandis (briefly) which positioned Malcolm into tenth. He quickly rebounded though, and would overtake the Ducati athlete, as well as Suzuki's Jason Anderson! Steadily, Malcolm was making remarkable moves throughout the running order - and on lap sixteen, he would surpass Aaron Plessinger! His strength was incredible, and he showcased extraordinary durability while powering through the final laps....and as Ken Roczen descended outside of single-digit territory, it was Stewart who claimed sixth overal!!
