GRIT 302 — 250SX — 2nd — Levi Kitchen

Kawasaki's Levi Kitchen was a competitor who embodied remarkable talent on the motorcycle. Through every genre of racing, could the native of Washington flourish...and his prowess was displayed at the highest magnitude as competition in Seattle began. As rhythm lanes began to be trenched with deep ruts, he knew that balance was going to be a critical component in his quest for mistake-free riding. However, when the track became tougher, his repertoire of skills on the bike seemed to escalate

-which equated to magnificent lap-times upon the overall leaderboard. From there, he accelerated ahead into heat number one His clutch release and accompanying shifting points, when launching across the start straightaway, would propel him to a standing near the pinnacle of the pack. With immense traction being garnered from his wheels, he would battle alongside Max Anstie (while residing in third) before (briefly) being surpassed by the British athlete! Though he quickly retaliated, and quickly moved in front of the Yamaha athlete, seemingly in an instant! Once definitively ahead of Anstie, he would storm past Cameron McAdoo, rather quickly. And then, only moments into the contest, would Levi soar through a technical rhythm lane passing Ryder DiFrancesco when entering into a left-handed bowl turn thereafter! From there, Kitchen took full command of the contest... while continuing to excel as the home-state crowd would cheer! In the end, Levi was nearly flawless... taking a dominant win to begin the night show's festivities! For the main event, he was eager to unveil his race-craft. His launch from the starting line equated to a standing at the front of the field — though his immediate attempts to try and work his way through traffic (while trying not to lose a tow from Haiden Deegan) were unsuccessful. Thus, he descended into a position just outside of the top-five. Though he immediately engaged in an all-out blitz forward. He would propel forward to the rear wheel of Ryder DiFrancesco after a few minutes of competition, with a stunning combination of valiant corner speed and daring rhythm lane leaps, he soared into the second-place standing

- doing so

from lap(s) three to four, ahead of DiFrancesco, McAdoo, and Max Anstie! His final pass (with a sweeping block-pass of sorts to propel ahead of the British athlete) was extraordinary, and had the crowd believing that he could rival Haiden Deegan for the lead. In the laps that followed, an unforgettable race then ensued. Numerous, back and forth attempts were made between he and the Yamaha rider! Brake-checks, block-passes, and look-backs, were displayed by the duo as the crowd rose to their feet! At times. both of their machines would come to a halt on the racetrack, as they swerved from inside to outside, and vice versa! It seemed as if Kitchen had the upper hand at one point (while in the lead), and even when surpassed (on lap fifteen), Levi countered once more to claim the first-place position as the sixteenth-lap transpired! Though it was ultimately Deegan's final pass (on the seventeenth circuit, which left the Washington native in second, once and for all. In the end, the fans of Seattle cheered for the home-state hero. and Kitchen's performance was certainly one to be remembered!
