race recap
GRIT 301 — 450SX 5th — Jorge Prado
February 7, 2026

It was time to strive for as many points as possible. Saturday's event, like the rest of the rounds on the tour, were a means to get closer to a high-level position amongst the overall series standing(s). This tour was one of a kind, and tested athletes in every capacity as they manned their machines. KTM's Jorge Prado welcomed the challenge, knowing that this was what he had trained for day in and day out. Race day began on Saturday as he soared over the largest gaps with the utmost confidence. Upon landing, the throttle would always be twisted with the rear wheel spinning. He made his way to the starting gate for the second heat race of the 450SX night show program. While flying into the finish line area on the opening lap, he would gather a position of first, knowing that there was minimal time to waste. He did his best to put forth a myriad of strong laps, while distancing his machine away from Joey Savatgy. With immense attrition and a relentless will to win, Prado would succeed in his efforts — leading all eight laps of the contest and winning the heat race. For the main event, he sprinted alongside the best in the world through the opening lap. Line(s) would come at him rapidly as he linked together areas of the landscape — and while accelerating forward to a position of seventh, he knew he couldn't become stagnant in the search for better pathways. The process led him past Vince Friese and Dylan Ferrandis rather quickly. Once into fifth, he and other fellow members of the top-five were seemingly in unison. None of the aforementioned trio would truly undergo any sort of mistake or mishap. Therefore as the twenty-three lap contest came to a conclusion, it was Prado who claimed fifth-place in the final standings.
