race recap
GRIT 301 — 250SX 3rd — Cameron Mcadoo
February 7, 2026 · Cameron McAdoo

As competitors took to the track on Saturday, many enthusiasts of the sport believed that Kawasaki's Cameron McAdoo could contend for the highest accolades. The competition this year was stiff, and with an absolutely stacked roster of opponents, he knew that every lap in practice was going to be critical. He wasted no-time, and dashed onto the canvas with little regard for fear. His suspension set-up looked to be pristine, with adequate stiffness and rebound being applied in various areas of the circuit. By all means, he was prepared to ascend in the forthcoming heat race. Anticipation would build as the crowd rose to their feet. It was a game of mere inches as pins unlatched and he launched from the grate. While doing his best to nullify wheel-spin, his advancement through the first lap led to a standing of approximately fourth. From there, he took the rear wheel of Ryder DiFrancesco — whom he ultimately passed with a stellar block-pass just after the whoops, with approximately one-third of the contest transpiring. Third was now his, and he sustained the position until just under three-minutes remained on the clock. A subtle case over the large, mid-track double led to Kitchen block-passing McAdoo via an inside pathway — and Cameron descended to fourth. Though he followed and replicated the pace of the race leaders, Cameron was tracking-down Michael Mosiman just before the checkered flag! The move to surpass the Yamaha rider was made in the corner just after the whoop section, with the white flag looming in the distance! Once Cameron had completed the corner via exiting the bend, he accelerated forward — clinching the bronze medal slot, and never relinquishing the accolade...which led to third-place honors being scored at the finish line!
