GRIT 301 — 250SX 1st — Haiden Deegan

Haiden Deegan strove to continue excelling, as the round of racing in Glendale came to fruition. The Yamaha rider had been outstanding thus far in 2026, and had no-reason to slow-down while stationed in Arizona. Many in the industry would label him as a true, outdoor specialist — and this layout offered the perfect blend of racing genres. While flying through the landscape in practice, it was clear that the former champion wanted to rival the lap-times of those in the premier category. He would do so while garnering an extraordinary gate choice for heat number two of the night show program. He launched onto the raceway with a bold riding style — striving to make an impactful performance which the rest of the division would have to recognize. After occupying a position of first following a blister display of speed across the start straightaway, Deegan stormed into the opening corner with motivation to win. From there, he immediately aspired to lengthen his gap over the rest of the pack — visualizing he and his Yamaha machine continuing to put forth larger distances between he and Michael Mosiman, Cameron McAdoo, and Hunter Yoder. By the end of the contest, he had put forth a lead that was nearly three and a-half seconds ahead of second place, and after soaring over the finish line jump, the Californian would be declared victorious. For the main event, all riders bolted across the opening straightaway in a true dash to the first corner. Through every facet of the raceway, the Californian flourished. He would have a stable gap over competitors including Michael Mosiman and Levi Kitchen. It was Kitchen's final push within the closing moments of the contest which made the fans briefly question the lead which Deegan created. However, when monitoring the gap, it was clear that Haiden was in complete control of the contest...and as the checkered flag waved, it was the Yamaha athlete who took a decisive victory in Glendale!
