Refusing the idea of complacency, ClubMX Yamaha's Enzo Lopes would showcase his skills in a spectacular manner while racing in Seattle on Saturday evening. He'd been tirelessly training on the East Coast, and was itching to return to competitive action as the West Coast championship resumed for round eleven of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series. It was obvious that Lopes had been bettering his craft by the time practice came to fruition, where he navigated the muddy corners and rhythm lanes with an optimal sense of throttle twisting, throwing caution to the wind as he leapt onto the plateau in the longest lane of them all! Battling amongst the top-ten, he would be finalized in sixth before advancing to the night show, where he was placed in an absolutely stacked heat race. Once the gate(s) fell, his clutch release would be equivalent to a standing near sixth; gripping the bars with tenacity while he moved into the top-five. Though being passed by RJ Hampshire, Lopes would do his best to follow the Husqvarna into the top-five, battling with Hunter Yoder as the final few minutes of the moto came to fruition. And though unable to get around the Kawasaki rider, Lopes obtaining of fifth would be notable and provide a solid gate choice for the main event that was just around the corner. Once here, he engaged in the heat of battle for the duration of the finalé, tripling his way through both sections of obstacles prior to the sand section with esteem and velocity that couldn't be denied. But his opening standing (of thirteenth) wasn't the beginning of a path that would be easy, as he then had to engage in relentless clawing in order to speed into the top-six. Lopes was on fire at this point (around the first-third of the moto), where he trailed Max Vohland (who was fifth) but sought to get around the KTM rider by any means necessary. Therefore, as lap eight was finalized the determination of the Brazilian rider had to be acknowledged and allowed as he infiltrated the top-five! Now with Levi Kitchen only seconds ahead, Lopes was steadfast in his pursuit of the Star Racing Yamaha rider, working his way around prior to lap ten being completed. That memo would be finalized flying colors, as Lopes then held the distinction of fourth with the main event coming to a close not long thereafter. And as the checkered flag was thrown, it would be Lopes who'd done enough to be solidified inside the top five; accruing fourth, before heading to Glendale in a few weeks.
