EASTON GRAVES | GRIT-232 | 65CC ALL-STARS
Possessing elite level talent since beginning his career in motorcycle racing, the number thirty-one of Easton Graves had generated immense success at every event he's competed in across the country. However for 2023, there would be a completely new format that no-one in the industry had experience - which was known as the SuperMotocross Championship. Within this particular series as well, would the 65cc World All-Stars competition be introduced; with athletes from countless states traveling to the city of Charlotte, North Carolina to compete in front of thousands of fans. Graves' would have a mentality that was of a veteran racer, where he appeared calm and collected amongst the hybrid Supercross circuit that was presented to him in practice. From the rollers, to the ruts, and rhythm lanes that were scattered around the course, there would be little to critique in regard to his effort and overall speed aboard the KTM machine. He claimed the pole position in practice and had his sights set on showcasing the same momentum in the main event...though a bit of trouble would be encountered within the split-lane(d) start, where he and another competitor would collide into each other, briefly tipping Graves' bike over. However, Easton immediately jumped aboard his machine and began to charge through the field with all of his effort; making passes immediately and securing a sixth-place position, by the time the first lap was completed! It was then a matter of making calculated passes on this technical course, where Graves was extremely quick throughout the rutted off-camber(ed) section while making decisions with traffic all around him. He had occupied fourth by lap four, but the line of riders both in front and behind him were wheel to wheel; creating action-packed racing for the fans who cheered with all of their might from the grandstands! His pass over Brayton Kreglow (for third) was then displayed prior to the fifth lap being done - with only Gavin McCoy separating him from a runner-up overall. Both he and McCoy were racing with extraordinary skill, but in the closing moments of the moto, the corner speed of Grave ultimately prevailed...leaving him to obtain a silver medal overall when flying over the finish-line! His talent amongst the SuperMotocross circuit was top-tier, and certainly indicated a bright future ahead for the KTM athlete from Louisiana.
