Following a solid practicing effort, Dylan Ferrandis infiltrated the heat one segment with ambition to charge alongside the best in the division...including Cooper Webb and Eli Tomac. However, an unfortunate crash throughout the first turn sequence left Dylan on the ground and forced to resume competition from the twentieth-place position! With only eight-laps to now advance, Ferrandis, Dylan knew that urgency would have to be displayed if he wanted to secure a transferring position. He executed passes with brilliant maneuvering, using creative lines to sweep and cut amongst opponents of two-digit registry. However, as the checkered flag was eventually thrown at the conclusion of the seven and a half minute contest, the French athlete could only obtain a standing of eleventh...sending him to the LCQ. Though a starting position (in the aforementioned sprint) was around a sixth-place standing, he remained methodical while analyzing the processes of opponents in front of him. He quickly infiltrated into the top-three, and then the lead before the final flag was thrown...proving that his speed was top-tier if he could keep the flow intact through the finish line. As all was said and done, Ferrandis powered his way to victory - clinching the strongest gate choice he could, despite the circumstances. The Frenchman returned to action in the main event, with a relentless will to infiltrate single digits. However, his road to glory wouldn't begin on an optimal note, with Ferrandis taking the green in seventeenth position. Yet rather than quit, the former champion proceeded to dig into the Denver soil; reminiscing on his French roots of hard-pack terrain, portray various sliding maneuvers while rounding the circuit at the perfect RPM range. Various passes were made and by lap six, he was in thirteenth...which quickly became eleventh as lap seven came to fruition. Though he and Shane McElrath would partake in a strenuous battle, with neither opponent ceasing to give it their all. He and the Suzuki combatant were spectacular to watch from afar, but it was Ferrandis' attrition that ultimately prevailed. He would then pass a fading, Eli Tomac...with Chase Sexton now next to be surpassed. But there was too little time for the Honda athlete to gain ground on the KTM racer, with Sexton riding extremely well despite numerous mistakes being made. Therefore as the final lap concluded in Denver, it was Honda's Dylan Ferrandis who was established in ninth place overall, respectively.
