DYLAN FERRANDIS - GRIT 230 450MX

DYLAN FERRANDIS | GRIT-230 | 450MX

France's Dylan Ferrandis would aspire to claim victory before the end of the motocross season in 2023, doing everything in his power to overcome the Honda tandem (i.e. Jett Lawrence and Chase Sexton) as the green flag had waved in the moto(s) thus far. Ferrandis' skill would translate to incredible lap-times in practice for round ten of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship, where he was finalized in fifth before beginning the two-moto quest amongst the afternoon hours. As action began and the field rounded the compact left-handed corner, it was Ferrandis who resided in a position of fifthas the listing(s) from timing and scoring would be displayed. Ferrandis' start to the top-ten though, wasn't as desired for the French rider (at least, in comparison to his self-critique in the past). With Jett Lawrence just ahead of him (to conclude lap-one), Ferrandis would be settled around the latter portion of the top-ten, though his urgency to move even further forward was evident. Making his way past Marchbanks, his charge to Justin Barcia in the closing moments of the moto would be spectacular - where the French rider would have his engine exclaiming with countless roars and off-track excursions. Ultimately, Ferrandis would pass "AC," the aforementioned New York native, and Aaron Plessinger before all was said and done...claiming a tremendous third-place accolade, before advancing to the next stage of competition. In moto-two, it was the number fourteen who encountered trouble on the first lap, and would have to work his way forward from that of twenty-eighth as he was registered amongst the timing and scoring sheet(s). Even amongst a dried circuit, which in all actuality, was synonymous with his roots of French racing, Ferrandis would thrive. Passing riders of MXGP establishment, along with top-tier(ed) privateers, Ferrandis wasn't letting anything or anyone stop him from reaching the top-ten as the checkered flag neared. And in the final moments of the moto, Ferrandis' tenacity was a catalyst to move him forward (and around) that of Phil Nicoletti, along with Ty Masterpool - which equated to an eventual ninth-place score in the moto being earned, and a tremendous standing of sixth-overall in the record book(s) being credited to him...where he now looks forward to the Ironman National, to conclude the series on a high note.
