CULLIN PARK | GRIT-216 | SX 250

A native of Florida, Cullin Park was used to the sweltering temperatures that would arise throughout the day while racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Park had "put in the time" to be one of the best riders in the world and by all means, would it be showcased as practice was underway in Georgia. Though excelling on the hard-packed soil(s), it was in the high-speed/sandy rollers where Park flourished; floating the front wheel just inches above the ground while he blasted by team members of his own and opposing mechanics behind the respective barrier. Nodding his head with confidence after he landed from the finish-line jump when completing his fastest lap, all signs would lead to a successful main event outcome if he was able to limit his mistakes! Park would begin the heat race near the eighth-place residency, battling with Caden Braswell as the two riders began to speed through the course with nearly mirroring lap-times. Scrubbing the tunnel-jump on lap three before powering down the backside, his combination of triples throughout the next straightaway of jumps would appear to have him solidified in eighth. However, an unfortunate miscalculation would have him dropping to eleventh in the running order with little time remaining, and as the final bell would ring shortly thereafter, it was Park who was forced to go to the LCQ. Once here, a gathering of a third-place position was claimed by Park, and he would then move to second after propelling past Hardy Munoz. Once into the runner-up registry, he remained error-free and calculated throughout the four-lap contest...eventually heading to the main event with second-place in hand. Not long thereafter would he be on the track again, demonstrating an incredible series of line choices while running in twelfth. The Honda rider would remain here for three laps, until moving head to eleventh, and then tenth prior to lap five being finalized! He would then begin to mimic the line choice of Talon Hawkins, whom he'd follow for the rest of the main event; as the Husqvarna rider would display an excellent flow until the checkered flag was eventually thrown. And as time expired, Park's output of momentum would eventually equate to ninth in the final running order - again, demonstrating consistency aboard his Honda CRF250R amid this highly competitive 2023 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship.
