CULLIN PARK | GRIT-212 | SX 250
Racing at this level would require the utmost concentration, which was presented immediately as Press Day came to fruition for the Indianapolis Supercross. This layout in the Hoosier State, would combine the most technical of blueprints with soil that promoted a myriad of lines throughout every inch of raceway; truly showcasing, as to why riders like Culin Park were considered the best of the best. His set-up would have to be configured throughout various points of the afternoon, with what appeared to be like subtle clicks to the front and rear suspension. But by all accounts, did the Honda 250F seemed to be working at the highest levels; which led to a seventh-place position being accrued as the green flag was thrown in his heat race. Even upon leaping from the "supposed" even-surfaced tabletops, it was apparent that the soil in Indianapolis was deteriorating quickly and losing its structure. Each aforementioned "table" would now possess divots and force riders to propel forward with a small recoil of the suspension along with a stabbing of the clutch. He mastered that art (and quickly) which promoted his lead over Jace Owen and Jeremy Hand as four or so minutes came to pass. Running the inside lines within the corners that were before the finish-line, he would do his best to seat bounce the difficult step-up/over triple that preceded the final double. Landing with the suspension compressed with high forces, his last lap on the circuit would begin with an intent on claiming the fourth-place position he resided in. Through canny line selection and adequate throttle control, his mistakes would be limited en route to the aforementioned standing being claimed. Next to come, would be the finalé, where Hunter Lawrence sprinted to a lead in the early stages. Though stuck in a jam of sorts throughout the first ninety-seconds of the moto, he and Coty Schock would pace one another as they sprinted across the start straightaway. Executing every quarter of the moto with precision, it was in the sixth minute where his patterns seemed to distance themselves from those outside the top thirteen. He had to be aware though, of Schock, who was charging forward with aggression. Especially in the portions of the layout that were just after the "SX" triple and nearing the finish-line. This would lead to an outside force (of sorts) encouraging to buckle-down as the fifteenth minute neared - and he obliged. Though fatigue began to set in, and rounding the final lap with a lapse of effort was enticing, he put his nose to the grindstone while categorized in ninth as he crossed the finish-line shortly thereafter.
