With a newfound roster of riders being set to battle in Houston, the industry would anticipate fireworks from the moment practice began on Saturday. An optimal course had been developed for all of these athletes to compete on, including none other than veteran, Chris Blose. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider would storm around the event's floor at NRG Stadium, pinpointing various facets of the track where he could stockpile various lines that could aid his future advancement in the main event. Nailing the multitude of consecutive triples in the rhythm lane before the finish line, the singles in this particular sector were reminiscent of an Arenacross-style(d) sculpting; with landings that were rather long in length, forced riders to approach both takeoff's with a surplus of MPH. Nevertheless, he conformed to what the raceway would ask of him; blasting into the heat race that followed with thousands on their feet within the chair backs of this "Texan" coliseum. He initiated action with a feverish pace, leaping into various berms from the preceding single without hesitation. His chassis was leaned at an angle that was synonymous with the gradient of the corner, which when portrayed multiple times on one circuit, would add up significantly in his quest for a transferring designation. Speeding around the sand section just before the "SX" triple, he would have to shift his body weight quickly to the right while leaving the face of the jump. As otherwise, his 250F would have too much momentum (due to the straightaway beforehand) which could result in a disastrous over jump. He prevailed though, time and time again, to arrive in a position of fifth before the main event began. His expertise through the first turn of the fifteen-minute brigade was critical, as riders were urgent in their pursuit of advancement. Chaotic bar-banging, cross-jumping, and engine revving were on tap for the first five laps or so, until he could break away and find a pace that was synonymous with those in the latter half of the top-ten. Navigating through the deteriorated whoop section, his focus was imminent once past the eleven minute mark; as any distraction could amplify and result in a crash, and/or subsequent loss of positions. He would hold strong however, fighting through the latter stages with tenth place in hand; residing here for the Pro Circuit Kawasaki team, and bringing a significant result to the legendary outfit, on short notice.
