CARSON MUMFORD | GRIT-217 | SX 250

Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Carson Mumford would bring his West Coast prowess to that of Northeast, for round fourteen of the current "SX" championship. The number fifty-two had ridden extremely well since being established on the legendary squad, and seemed to bring his patented poise into MetLife Stadium beginning with practice. Mumford would be one of the first riders on the track, seeking to ascend to the top of the leaderboard while twisting the throttle as hard as possible; through the whoops, and steep rhythm lanes that littered this particular circuit. Though jump faces were already combed with grooves from left to right, it was Mumford's technicality that thrived; generating a bid for the night show, and eventually beginning his heat race near the fourth position. This was a condensed main event in all honesty, and Mumford would prove that he could run the pace of the top athletes in the division, residing in the top six for a good while. Eventually being overtaken by Yamaha's Levi Kitchen in the latter stages, it would be Simi Valley, California's Mumford who possessed seventh as all was finalized before the main event. Though being a native of the West Coast state, Mumford accelerated with a phenomenal pace amongst the mud-ridden track that was cast as a layout for the finalé; sliding through the water while spraying every adversary with projectile(d) precipitation from his rear knobbies, he would float through rhythm section triples with ease while landing on soil(s) that felt like ice! He was stationed around the tenth-place residency and would steadily move forward in the laps that followed, using his visor to block roost from various opponents while searching for the optimal places on the track to move forward. He had moved into eighth by lap seven, and could see Haiden Deegan in front of him, prior to the Yamaha rider falling in an acute angled right handed corner. This would push him to seventh, but it was in the minutes that followed that Mumford would be battling, and subsequently passed by the rookie...before overtaking RJ Hampshire who was stuck in the final corner of the racetrack. He would be finalized in seventh upon rolling the finish-line on the last lap, which was extremely admirable given the amount of competition he was up against, and the adverse conditions the field was forced to compete upon in New Jersey!
