CAMERON MCADOO - GRIT 243 250SX
May 20, 2024

GRIT-243 | 250 SX
Cameron McAdoo was relentless in his pursuit of a high standing on the overall leaderboard. From the initiation of practice laps, the Kawasaki rider was a force to be dealt with - scrubbing his way over the jumps amongst the Alabama circuit, while displaying his urge to succeed for the entirety of this 250cc SX season. He transferred into the heat race thereafter with an explosive start, and completed the first full lap in the runner-up position, before undergoing a mistake with Nicholas Romano shortly thereafter. It was at the conclusion of one of the longest rhythm lanes on the track, where Romano appeared to hit a false neutral...causing McAdoo to leap onto the Yamaha machine, and crash rather spectacularly! The accident would break McAdoo's rear fender, but he rebounded quickly and would only falter to a lowest standing of fourth before making a comeback of sorts at the halfway point. He would eventually cement his position in front of Daxton Bennick, while being established in the runner-up designation on the fourth lap. From that point forward, it was a matter of racing both the clock, and Coty Schock who led the field around. The ClubMX Yamaha rider had ridden extremely well to this point in the moto...but it was evident that McAdoo was gaining ground as the checkered flag neared. They would ultimately be within the same straightaway of one another in the final moments, but it was Cameron who claimed second before moving to the main event. Once there, he (again) immediately inherited the runner-up standing after only a few seconds of action and sought to mimic Tom Vialle's prowess as the KTM rider was out front. The French athlete was riding stellar, but McAdoo's constant effort at lower his lap-times and swift movement throughout the infield, were characteristics of note as laps began to accumulate. The margin remained rather steady amongst both of the adversaries, but McAdoo wasn't giving up...even with teammate Seth Hammaker now beginning to creep into the podium picture per se as the halfway point passed. He could sense the fellow Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider just behind him...but he wasn't going to fade with the points lead in mind. Through laps fifteen, sixteen, and seventeen, the championship implications were pivotal and of high priority...and as many hypothesized, Cameron flourished amid the high stakes moments. Ultimately finishing second, the hard-fought ride continued the championship trek as the racing season moved forward.
